I picked out this little old book from my book case this evening. It’s written by the late John Cameron, originally from Scotland but who later moved to the US. His bio reads:
Born in Peterhead, Scotland, John Cameron, of the "Cameron Family" has ministered all over the world, having been a Pastor and Evangelist for over 20 years. He has a great knowledge of the word, putting a lot of stress on Prayer, Praise, and Worship.
He has ministered on radio and television. He has also ministered at many conventions and churches all over the world. Being in great de-mand, he has had to curtail his traveling because the Lord led him to pioneer a church in Norcross, Georgia.
He knows the need of being obedient, and realizes his authority comes in knowing that we are under authority. He states real authority begins with being able to rule yourself and your emotions. This can only be done in the Holy Ghost.
This book will enlighten your understanding causing you to have that close relationship in your "Christian walk"
The book is a signed copy, and has a note addressed to the late Pastor Simon Cameron (possibly his brother).

Here is a little section from the preface which caught my interest.
The increased activity of Christians on radio, television, and many other outreaches, demands more prayer. If we are to have power with men, we must receive this power from God. If our faith is to be perfected and our Spiritual life deepened, if our service is to be made more fruitful, God MUST do it, there is only one way, Holy Ghost Prayer. If we are to continue in the victory and prevail, we MUST have the help of God, the Holy Ghost.
However, let me hasten to say this assistance is not only needed but promised. The answer of every prayer MUST depend, and, is governed by the promises of God.
May God, Our Loving Heavenly Father, be pleased to use these pages to strengthen men and women in this wonderful Faith, with some more insight as to what it means to "Pray in the Holy Ghost", and to see how delightful prayer can be, not so much a burden, but to lift burdens (I Peter 5:7). Remember! In the flesh it is hard to do ANYTHING, in the Spirit it's EASY and blessed. Always remembering that the Holy Spirit is a PERSON, not an influence, yet he has great influence.
Amen.
Straight away we are reminded that “success” is not synonymous with effectiveness. To be truly effective we need the power of God, and that power must be revealed in us by praying in the Holy Spirit.
