John Caldwell

John Caldwell is an itinerant preacher, author and school teacher  who lives in Perthshire with his wife Laura and two sons Ethan and Caleb. Prior to entering the teaching profession, he worked for Paisley YMCA in a variety of projects that reached out to young people throughout Renfrewshire. John preaches and teaches across various churches, denominations and Christian gatherings across Scotland.

For more than 15 years, John has been assisting local churches, and Christian gatherings, throughout Scotland by sharing his testimony and preaching and teaching the Bible. John's Spirit-filled, Christ-centred and down-to-earth delivery is  well-received by Christians and non-Christians alike.

 

John holds a BD (Hons) in Theology and Pastoral Studies from the Scottish Baptist College, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (Religious Education and English), he studied English Literature and Fiction Writing at the Open University, and he studied Youthwork and Theology at the International Christian College.

For 'down time' he loves camping with his wife, kids and dog in scenic Scotland.

John is a member of Stirling Free Church, where he preaches regularly, and he and his wife lead a house group in their home village (Braco). SFC is a new, contemporary church which is often described by visitors as the "freest Free Church" they've ever visited.
